Liverpool at 'impasse' over contract talks with Salah, Trent and Van Dijk

According to Paul Joyce of The Times, Liverpool are negotiating new contracts with their squad members.

Jarell Quansah and Ibrahima Konate are in preliminary talks whereas there's no positive update regarding top out-of-contract trio Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil Van Dijk.

Joyce understands Liverpool contacted their agents regarding an extension but could not find 'common ground'.

As a result, there is an impasse between both parties now. Time is running out though as all three players will no longer be part of Liverpool next summer.
