Harry Maguire Attracts Interest from Saudi Clubs, Open to Move After Season

September 5th – Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has emerged as a target for two Saudi Arabian clubs, according to exclusive reports.

The 32-year-old would consider a transfer, but only after the current season concludes. The Saudi Arabian transfer window closes on September 23rd, but Maguire has informed interested clubs that he intends to fulfill the final year of his contract with Manchester United.

This summer, United rejected offers from Premier League and Italian clubs for the English defender. Although Maguire’s contract technically expired at the end of last season, the club triggered a one-year extension to keep him until 2026.
Maguire is eligible to negotiate a move abroad as early as January, but he has acknowledged that he could potentially remain at Old Trafford beyond 2026 if United still value his services.
The extended transfer windows in Saudi Arabia and Turkey—both set to close on September 12th—also present potential opportunities for United to facilitate moves for out-of-favor goalkeepers André Onana or Altay Bayindir before next weekend.

Onana initially attracted interest from Saudi Arabia earlier this summer and was also linked with a deadline-day move to Turkish giants Galatasaray as a replacement for Ederson, who later joined Fenerbahçe from Manchester City. Although Galatasaray ultimately signed Uğurcan Çakır on Monday, Onana may still consider leaving Old Trafford this month to avoid transfer complications during the Africa Cup of Nations in January.开启新对话
