Enrique: Paris Fully Prepared for Bayern Clash; Their 15-Game Winning Streak is Outstanding

November 2 – Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique spoke at the post-match press conference following their 1-0 victory over Nice.
**We noticed that PSG increased their intensity in the final half-hour. What do you attribute this to?**
I think if we analyze the match, we were a bit too relaxed in the first 30 minutes. We improved toward the end of the first half, and in the second half, we played very well. We completed our task and fully deserved this victory.
**You faced another team that defended very tightly. Does this frustrate you, or do you understand such tactics?**
I am the manager of Paris Saint-Germain, and I am committed to improving the team's strength. I have great respect for all other teams.
I enjoy attacking teams that defend tightly because you have to execute passes with precision, even when there is limited time and space on the field.
It is very challenging. You must make runs both with and without the ball, and there is a strategic element to it that I enjoy. This is the phase of the game I am most familiar with. Facing a team like Nice can be frustrating because they defend so well, but that is normal, and I completely understand. This is football; you have to adapt.
**Since PSG won the Champions League, have the players found it difficult to maintain full focus at the start of the Ligue 1 season?**
No, you always like to jump to conclusions, whether good or bad, but the season has just begun. It’s pleasing to see so many teams performing well in the standings, but it’s still too early to draw conclusions.
We need to focus on all the competitions we are participating in. I believe we are in a good phase. I want to emphasize that the fans sang for 94 minutes, and as a team, we should naturally embody the same spirit as our supporters, fighting until the very last moment.
This is very important for us and helps further strengthen this mentality.
**Ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League match, what did you see on the field that reassured you?**
We have already shifted our focus to the next match against Bayern Munich because, just like the game against Barcelona, this will be one of the best matches we can experience. They are on a 15-game winning streak, which is outstanding.
We are excited to face one of the best teams in Europe, and we are full of confidence. We know the atmosphere our fans will create, and we will do our best to make the most of it.
**How do you evaluate Ousmane Dembélé’s current form?**
Ousmane is a unique player; watching him play is a joy, but you have to be patient and trust your instincts. Even watching him for just 10 or 20 minutes is already exhilarating. We are satisfied with his progress; we have no concerns about it.
**How do you assess Gonçalo Ramos’ performance, scoring in his 100th appearance for PSG?**
He is very important to us because he is always ready for every match, whether he plays or not. Gonçalo Ramos’ five minutes on the field means five minutes of hard work and high-level performance.
He scored that goal, Kang-in Lee’s cross was excellent, Kvaratskhelia’s anticipation was spot-on, and Gonçalo finished it beautifully. This is very important both for Ramos himself and for the team.
