Giuliano Simeone Set to Extend Atletico Madrid Contract Until 2030 with Core-Player Salary

Giuliano Simeone Set to Extend Atletico Madrid Contract Until 2030 with Core-Player Salary
November 13 – *Marca* reports that Giuliano Simeone is poised to extend his contract with Atlético Madrid until 2030, with his salary adjusted to reflect his key role in the team.

According to the report, the contract extension for Giuliano Simeone is imminent. During the current international break – which the player is missing due to vaccine-related issues, contrary to his consistent desire to represent the Argentine national team – the period will be used to finalize the agreement.

At 22 years old, he has already become one of the most valuable assets in Atlético Madrid's current squad.

As the youngest member of the Simeone family, he has secured a starting role in his second season with Atlético's first team, establishing himself as an indispensable figure. Through his relentless contributions on both ends of the right flank and his growing influence in attack, he has risen to become a key player.

His on-field performances speak for themselves: 3 goals and 5 assists in 16 appearances.

He has not missed a single match in Atlético's 12 La Liga games and 4 Champions League fixtures this season, starting in 14 of them. Wearing the number 20 shirt, he has become a vital pillar for the team and has been named Man of the Match three times, most recently in the game against Union Saint-Gilloise.

In recognition of his outstanding form, Atlético's management has spent weeks advancing the renewal process, planning to extend Giuliano's current contract (which originally ran until 2028) to 2030. The club will also adjust his current salary, which is relatively low within the squad, to align with his status as a core player.

Giuliano also holds a place in the Argentine national team setup and has set his sights on securing a spot in the next World Cup.

Since joining Atlético from River Plate, he has steadily progressed through the ranks to the first team, with loan spells at Zaragoza and Alavés helping him establish himself among the elite. This contract extension serves as a reward for his years of hard work.

> **Giuliano Simeone:** "I hope to play for Atlético for many years, like Koke."

This was the aspiration Giuliano expressed in an interview with *Marca* a few weeks ago. Now, during this international break, the youngest Simeone is moving closer to realizing that goal through his impressive performances.

Although the initial negotiations were led by Carlos Bucero, with the arrival of Mateu Alemany at Atlético, Giuliano's renewal is expected to be one of the first major sporting decisions finalized by the Balearic-born executive.
