Bayern Munich Set to Offload Sacha Boey in January for €10-15m

Bayern Munich are ready to sanction the departure of right-back Sacha Boey as early as the January transfer window, less than 18 months after signing the Frenchman from Galatasaray for €30 million in the summer of 2024.

The 24-year-old has struggled for regular minutes under Vincent Kompany, starting only 14 Bundesliga matches since his arrival and falling behind Josip Stanišić and new signing Hiroki Ito in the pecking order. With his contract running until 2028, Bayern are now willing to accept a significant loss and are demanding a fee in the €10-15 million range.

Crystal Palace have emerged as the frontrunners to secure his signature. The Premier League club have already held positive talks with Bayern and view Boey’s explosive pace and attacking output as an ideal complement to current right-back Daniel Muñoz. West Ham United and Juventus have also registered interest, but Palace are currently leading the race.

Sources close to the negotiations indicate that personal terms are not expected to be an obstacle, with Boey open to a move that would offer him guaranteed playing time. An agreement could be reached quickly once clubs finalise the transfer fee.
