Arema FC Defeats Barito Putera with a Convincing Score of 3-1 in League 1, Ready to Follow Bali United at the Top of the Standings

Arema FC achieved a spectacular 3-1 victory over Barito Putera in the continuation of the 10th week of the 2024/25 Indonesian League 1 season. This result brought Singo Edan, who were previously slumped by a defeat at home to Persija Jakarta, back to winning full points in the away match which took place on Friday (1/11) afternoon.

The match opened with pressure from both teams, but Arema FC managed to take the lead through William Moreira's penalty in the 34th minute, followed by goals from Salim Tuharea in the 66th minute and Hamzah Titofani in the 90+8 minute. Meanwhile, Barito Putera was only able to score one consolation goal in the 90th minute through Muhammad Firly's kick, strengthening Arema's position at the top of the standings with a collection of 15 points, right in 7th place. In contrast, Laskar Antasari is stuck in 13th position with 9 points.

However, instead of reducing the deficit, Barito's goal was conceded again in injury time in the 90+8 minute, when Hamzah Titofani took advantage of the rebound from Moreira's hard kick that Satria Tama failed to block perfectly. Arema then closed the match with a 3-1 lead.
